“Ascending” is a message series focusing on the section of the Psalms known as “The Songs of Ascent”. These are the songs the ancient Hebrews sang as they traveled from their homes to Jerusalem each year for the major religious festivals. As they made a literal journey upward to the city of God, they reflected on their spiritual journey upwards, toward God and His Kingdom.
